There are four Fields of Mistria legendary fish: Cherry Fish in spring, Lightning Fish in summer, Leaf Fish in fall, and Snow Fish in winter. You must first reach Fishing level 30 and unlock the Legendary perk for 80 Essence; on an eligible day, a start-of-day message says that a legendary fish is nearby and shows its silhouette. Match the season, weather, water type, and shadow size, then donate the one-per-save catch to the Museum rather than treating it as ordinary income.

Unlock legendary fishing first

It does not guarantee that every morning produces a legendary opportunity, and it does not remove the need to find the correct kind of water. A stronger rod can make awkward casts easier, but these catches do not have a confirmed minimum rod tier.

Read the morning notice

On a qualifying day, the game displays a notice before normal play begins that a legendary fish is nearby. The notice includes the silhouette of the fish available that day and appears near the calendar information. Treat that prompt as the signal to change plans and fish before ending the day.

If the notice does not appear, searching the correct water is not a supported shortcut around the conditions. Continue normal fishing, preserve stamina food if useful, and watch later forecasts rather than assuming the save is broken. There is no known clock-hour restriction, so prioritize the weather and morning notice.

Catch Cherry Fish in spring

Cherry Fish is the spring legendary catch. It is a small-shadow pond fish found during spring's special windy, cherry-blossom weather. Search ponds and cast toward small silhouettes after the morning legendary notice appears.

Ponds are the required water type, and the Eastern Road offers practical places to search. That example is useful without turning a photographed location into an exclusive spawn point. If the visible pond holds no small shadows, leave and return to refresh the area, then check again.

Catch Lightning Fish in summer

Lightning Fish is the summer legendary catch, represented by a medium shadow in river water. Wait for storm or thunderstorm weather; ordinary rain is not a reliable substitute.

Any suitable river can work, and the Narrows offers a convenient search route without being the only possible location. Look for medium silhouettes only after the notification confirms the legendary opportunity.

Catch Leaf Fish in fall

Leaf Fish is the fall legendary catch. It appears as a small shadow in a river during the special windy, falling-leaf weather used for this seasonal catch. This makes it the autumn counterpart to the small Cherry Fish, but the required water changes from pond to river.

The Eastern Road river is one practical option, but the water type matters more than one exact map square. The location category therefore remains river, not a single guaranteed map square. Search accessible rivers methodically and use transitions to refresh shadows when necessary.

Catch Snow Fish in winter

Snow Fish is a medium-shadow ocean catch in winter. Blizzard weather is required, so ordinary snowfall is not treated as sufficient; the reliable instruction is to wait for a blizzard and the legendary notice.

The Beach gives direct access to ocean water and is the practical search area for this search. Choose a stretch of shore where medium shadows are easy to reach, then refresh the area if the visible silhouettes are wrong. No separate time window is required; fish whenever the confirmed day allows.

Use shadow size and water type together

Shadow size prevents wasting stamina on the wrong target. Cherry Fish and Leaf Fish are small; Lightning Fish and Snow Fish are medium. Water type then separates each pair: pond for Cherry, river for both Lightning and Leaf, and ocean for Snow.

Cast close enough to the chosen shadow to attract it, wait for the bite indicator, and reel only after the bite. Casting itself does not consume stamina, while a successful catch does. Careful target selection is therefore much more efficient than pulling every visible fish while hunting the set.

Protect the one-per-save catch

The game prevents duplicate legendary catches, allowing one of each variety per save. Earlier loopholes involving Lucky Haul, fish schools, and fish traps were closed in later versions. Do not build a plan around duplicating, selling, or replacing a legendary fish.

A missed season simply moves that fish to a later year; there is no substitute season.

Turn the four catches into a compact seasonal checklist. Before each season begins, confirm that the Legendary perk is active, clear four inventory slots, and keep a chest near the farm exit for food and spare fishing supplies. On mornings with ordinary weather, continue raising skills or completing other collections instead of waiting beside the water. When the notice appears, pause farm expansion and relationship errands until the matching water and shadow have been checked.

If the correct water shows only the wrong shadows, leave the area and return instead of spending stamina on every fish. This makes the hunt a sequence of short checks rather than one long fishing session. After a successful catch, place the fish in a protected slot or deliver it directly to the Museum. Mark that season complete, then prepare for the next weather combination so the unique catch is never confused with an ordinary sale item.
